A micro bakery is a small-scale bakery that focuses on quality and craftsmanship, producing fresh, artisan baked goods in smaller quantities.   • How soon in advance do you recommend to book my event?
    As soon as possible, creating greatness takes time. Sometimes we come up with a complete concept and scratch it and start over again. As soon as you're sure you want to move forward, book! It also gives you a longer time to pay over time for your event. Typically, four months is the sweet spot for a well rounded event production.
  • I would like to work with you in a location other than the Greater New Orleans area. Do you have travel fees?
    Yes, anything over 70 miles from the New Orleans radius gets charged by the mile. Work outside of the state of Louisiana will incur a hotel + mileage cost to the client, to be paid before the event date. No, we typically do not charge travel fees for travel up to 60 miles outside the New Orleans radius. However, that is dependent on the venue location, amount of travel and staffing required for your event.
  • Will you personally be at my event?
    Yes, Bright-eyed and Bushy-tailed on-site and hands on with each event Shaun produces/styles and while we have staff alongside Shaun, shes always the lead on each and every event urTOPick produces! You are never left in an assistant's hands.
  • How many events do you plan a year?
    Shaun is dedicated and extremely engulfed in making sure every event has the attention it deserves. We typically plan no more, than two events per month or four a quarter. However, that number is dependent on the scope of the event. Shaun never overlaps bookings, ensuring you are her sole focus.
  • Do you stay the length of my entire event?
    No, as much as Shaun would love to stay and enjoy the festivities, we need a few breaths and a bite to eat before breakdown. Shaun and the staff set up for the event and stay for an hour into the event start time if we are not by contract obligated to stay. Staff then return 45 minutes to an hour before the event is over to start the breakdown process. See urTOPick Events page for on-site hourly rate.
  • Do you charge overtime if an event runs over its end time?
    Yes, time is money. And just as the venue will charge a fee for anytime spent on the premises after the agreed upon end time and necessary time for breakdown. Charge for additional time in the space occupied past the agreed upon end time is as follows: $30 for the first 30 minutes and $15 for every 10 minutes thereafter.
  • Do you host events you produce/style? Is there an additional cost?
    Yes and Yes. Not everyone wants to or can get in front of many guests to MC the party. If that's the case we have you covered from set up to event curation and breakdown. The hosting fee is based on an hourly rate. See urTOPick Events page.
  • Are there certain times of the year that you do not accept event bookings?
    Yes, for the full month of May and week before and during Christmas. New Year's Eve week/weekend, however it falls is the last event producing week before we start all over again for the New Year.
  • How do your payments work?
    We follow the industry standard requiring a 50% deposit at the time of booking with the option to pay thereafter a fixed price monthly based off remaining balance and how far out your event may be or the 50% remaining balance being due 2 weeks prior to the event. Payments toward your final balance may be made at any time or set up to automatically process via our private secure system in the client portal. All payments made via credit/debit are subject to a 3.5% processing fee. Payments via checking account (ACH/EFT) have zero processing fees. There is a separate planner retainer fee that will be charged to the potential client for security of date. This fee goes toward the cost of the event should the potential client wish to move forward in signing a contract and developing a vision. If the potential client goes elsewhere for their events needs, retainer fee is forfeited.
  • Do you custom build for events? Are the custom build items allowed to be taken off premises by the client?
    Yes and no. Yes, if a custom build is necessary or requested for the event. That you will get! However, custom builds do not leave with the client or any of the clients guests after styled a event. The client only pays for the labor and not the material needed to create a custom build items, therefore making all builds urTOPick Events property until sold.
